Phonographies One of the most beautiful pieces I have heard in years. I don't know who Eva Kierten is. But there is one thing I am sure of: this is exceptional. Thank you to all the musicians who collaborated on this.

ES Completely sublime. Unfolds slowly like scarves of mist pouring down into a valley towards waves of composition which gently churns like dark marble waters towards the sea.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so repeatedly enraptured by another label. Strata to be excavated in full!

about

Further exercises in the hermetic art of reductionism, as Kierten offers seemingly endless permutations of the same sequence of crystalline piano notes, scattered across a canvas of brittle strings, field recordings and subtle electronics. Kierten’s only concession to narrative is the glacial substitution of tonal elements that might constitute something like a chord progression. The result, for all its austerity, is richly articulated sense of space and depth that is both intimate and affecting.
